The Secret Life of American Heartland Theatre.

It’s 8:30 and the lobby is filled with well-dressed people. They chat, laugh, network, check their phones, head to the bar, make one last run to the restroom and prepare to enter the theatre. A normal night at the theatre- right? You might think that, except it is 8:30 AM!

During the day, when good actors and techies are still catching some well-earned z’s, the American Heartland Theatre space becomes a special event space for corporate meetings, award ceremonies, seminars, recitals, book signings, private parties, weddings and much more! The spacious lobby is a great place for a continental breakfast, an afternoon cookie break, or even a catered dinner. Plus, the intimate theatre with seating for 400+ is flexible enough to meet almost any need.

The theatre has been host to Hallmark, Lathrop & Gage, H & R Block, Kansas City Star, Social Security Administration and many other companies. Non-profits love AHT too as it is a great place for awards ceremonies or fundraisers! Several local groups have found the benefit of fundraisers at AHT which can include food, a play, a full-service cash bar and great service at a low price!

The Heartland produces shows year-round, but a few evenings are available for events too. Evening events have included a visit from “Second City”, a gala celebration with the local chapter of AFTRA, upcoming musicians and much more! If you have a special event coming up, it’s time to think outside of the usual box and think about becoming a part of the “secret life” at the American Heartland Theatre. (Don’t worry, we are very discreet!)
